Column Wraps @ Regal Edwards Boise 21

We were brought on as a part of the expansive remodel of the Regal Edwards Cinema at the Boise Spectrum Center in August of 2025. The main theater had gone mostly untouched since they originally built it in the late 90’s, and the owners decided it was time for a major interior redesign. Our part in the project was wrapping the chrome accent columns scattered throughout the lobbies and hallways between the theaters.

Before wrapping - chromed stainless steel

Columns are never as straight-forward as smaller/flat surfaces, but what made these a particular challenge were their size - six of them were about 20 feet tall, and two of them in the front lobby were 33 feet tall!

Another challenging aspect of this project was the timing - we were given access at more-or-less any time, but we had to keep in mind and avoid certain spots of the lobby when large crowds would form. This mostly gave us the easiest access to work from about midnight to 10 a.m. - we had to balance that with the fact we still had orders and phone calls during our normal 9-to-5 business hours, so we split the difference and started at the theater each morning at 5 a.m., working until mid-day.

This project was our first time working with SOIF film, a relatively new brand of architectural film that was just entering the US market at the time. Overall we were pretty impressed with how it installed and how durable it appeared. The general contractor acquired the film on their own and hired us to do the install - but it just so happened that we were contacted by SOIFUSA right in the middle of this project, and as of the the writing of this blog, are in discussions of becoming sellers of this brand of material over on our other website www.rmwrapsstore.com just like we sell 3M Di-Noc.

Overall, this project took about 60 man-hours with the 2 of us, and about three-and-a-half (3.5) 50-meter rolls of the material.
