Building and Wrapping a TV Console From Scratch
This is another one of our projects that was born out of having extra vinyl laying around and not wanting it to go to waste. We had about 3/4 of a full roll of 3M™ DI-NOC™ solid color PS-1187 architectural film that was given to us after a project was complete, and the customer had no other use for it. We always take rolls like that after a job if we’re able to, no matter how big or small and even if it costs us to ship it back to our shop, because we always find fun little projects like this to put it to use. Having extra vinyl laying around is also what lead to our Hall Tree & Storage Bench, Garage Cabinet, and Desk Wrap projects.
In the video below you can see how Randy built this TV console from scratch, fully prepped the piece, and then wrapped it entirely in the Di-Noc architectural finish. This same process can easily be used to bring new life to practically any existing piece of furniture as well - saving money, and being more environmentally-friendly vs. disposal and buying new furniture.
