Citation 750 Private Jet Interior Wrap Project

Randy was hired to help revitalize the very warn and dated interior of a Citation 750 private plane in March of 2025. The stark contrast between old and new was accomplished using 3M Di-Noc Ultra-Matte PS-3870MT architectural film.

Even though this was a relatively small aircraft compared to other projects Randy has worked on, the extensive surface wear and amount of intricate pieces made this deceptively small project take almost 7 full days to complete.

Check out the videos and photos below to see how much of a difference one installer, one roll of vinyl, and one week can make to almost any private jet.

Step 1 - On-Site Surface Inspection

The first step to any of these travel installation projects is to get a lay of the land - scoping out every surface that’s going to get wrapped, making sure everything is as disassembled and accessible as possible, and developing a plan of attack. Watch this first video to see what Randy keeps an eye out for during preliminary inspection.

Step 2 - Surface Preparation

Whether Randy is installing in a new-build or resurfacing the interior of a 75 year old boat, every project has some amount of surface prep. Any surface being wrapped needs to be completely smooth, which means sanding high-points and filling low-points, and properly sealing any surfaces that won’t naturally take an adhesive. This particular jet had seen quite a bit of abuse over the years and had lots of surface damage hiding under that glossy finish, as you can see in the video below - the entire first day (and a few more moments throughout the following days) was spent getting every surface perfectly smooth so the vinyl wrap looked flawlessin the end.

Step 3 - Wrapping

Once all the prep work has been done, the actual wrapping can finally commence. This project had a LOT of intricate shaping that took a bit longer than Randy had estimated, so as the project went along he had to spend less time documenting everything to make sure he could still finish in time. You can see some of the early progress in the Day 2 and Day 3 videos down below - and a final walkthrough when Randy’s portion of this jet refurbishment was complete.
